Planning for College . . . Preparing for the Future!
Granada East News
December 15th, 2014
Granada East staff would like to send you a warm and spirited greeting to all of our families. December is an important month for all of our students. We will have our second quarter assessments during December and January. It is critical that students come to school on time and ready to show how much they have learned this quarter. The students overall scores and their growth will be reviewed by students, teachers, and administration. Students who achieve exceeds status on any of their tests or have strong growth will receive "dress down Fridays" for the third quarter. So please encourage your child to put forth their best effort and take another step towards greatness.
Your support for our school is essential to our student's success. Please remember that your 2014 tax credit donations help fund Granada East field trips, sports programs, and other amazing programs. Please contact the school to make sure your tax credit donation will impact our students in a positive manner. The tax credit donation form is in this month's newsletter. Our students appreciate your support!
Parents, your partnership with Granada East is critical to our success. Please stop by the Parent Volunteer Room and donate some time to the most worthy cause, our students. Also, please check your child's grades on a regular basis so you can support and praise your child for their grades. Another way to support our school is to attend the SCC/Booster Club meeting on December 12th at 7:30am in the MPR. Your involvement with your child's education is the BEST GIFT you could ever give to your child.
My deepest and most heart felt thoughts go out to you and your family during this holiday season! Thank you for being part of the Granada East family!
Dr. Randy Martinez
Welcome to Granada East Middle School,
At Granada East Middle School we have core commitments on what we believe must happen in our school. Below, are the core commitments from Granada East's leadership team:
|I believe all students deserve a high quality education from all their teachers everyday. This high quality education will give them the tools to be successful academically, socially, and behaviorally at Granada East, high school, college, career and beyond.
Dr. Randy Martinez, Principal
I believe that every child is born with the ability to learn and achieve. I believe that it is my responsibility as an educator to use every tool necessary to actualize the learning potential in each of them.
